If we look a little deeper, we can also celebrate who we are and all the people/experiences that have led us to that certain point in life. Independence days are like birthdays. We celebrate how far we've come, the influences that have aided us, and the lessons we've learned along the way. Our birthplaces have history just like we do. Our roots give us a sense of home.
