This is a piece of artwork that has the power to change the lives of women and children across the world. And you can be the driving force behind that change. For a limited time, 100% of the proceeds of each print sold is dedicated to Future Fortified's current campaign. Each print provides an entire month’s worth of nutrients to 20 children in Kenya. Who do we love: Grameen FoundationWhy we love them: The Grameen Foundation helps the world's poorest, especially women, improve their lives and escape poverty by providing them with access to small loans, essential information, and viable business opportunities. What makes them stand out: They make a little go a very long way. The Grameen Foundation’s goal is simple – to see poor people, especially the poorest and those living in harder to reach areas, have access to microfinance and technology and as a result of access to these services, move themselves out of poverty. Chapter 7: Working with women's co-ops to promote goods
While living on the island, I learned from my dear friend, Molly Fisher (now founder of PEACE) how we could use our connections with the tourist population to raise funds for locals. We would hold art events in my coffee shop, fundraisers on the street etc. Molly eventually moved to Vallarta and founded PEACE (protection and Education of Animals, Culture and Environment) and one of the first projects we worked on together was creating a gallery/workshop for a local co-op. So we opened Art and Philanthropy Gallery and I was in charge of the online presence here. She created the product with the women and I promoted here.
